Drip vs Liberation Technology Services
A Drip alternative should cost less to run, keep your subscriber data in the United States, and still send the automated emails your shop depends on. Liberation Campaign, hosted by Liberation Technology Services, bills by emails sent instead of contacts stored. Here is an honest look at both options.
Get a quoteSee the email platformMost small businesses start looking for a Drip alternative for one of two reasons. The monthly bill grows with the size of the list, or the owner wants more say over where subscriber data lives. Drip is a capable ecommerce email platform, and it is worth saying so up front. This page compares it with Liberation Campaign, the Liberation Campaign email marketing platform we host at Liberation Technology Services in Tampa, Florida.
We will cover price, automation, integrations, data handling and migration. Where Drip is the better fit, we say so. Where we have not published details, we tell you to ask rather than guess.

Drip describes itself as "an ecommerce email and automation built for lean teams." It is aimed at businesses that sell digital or physical goods online and want repeat buyers. You can read how it positions itself on drip.com. That focus matters, because a general email platform and an ecommerce email platform solve slightly different problems.
Before you compare anything, write down four facts about your own business:
Those four answers decide most of the comparison. A shop with 2,000 contacts that sends a few campaigns a month has a very different bill from a store with 30,000 contacts that sends weekly. A church or nonprofit with a modest list and no online store has different needs again.
Platforms charge in one of two ways. Some bill by how many people are on your list. Others bill by how many emails you send. Neither is wrong. The right choice depends on how often you write to the people on your list, which is why the next sections look at the numbers.
A fair Drip alternative review starts with strengths. According to the Drip features page, Drip offers a visual drag-and-drop workflow builder for multi-channel automations, if/else decision branches, dynamic segmentation that adds and removes people automatically, embedded forms and multistep forms. The home page lists more than 50 integrations, including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Stripe and Zapier.
Drip also says its segments build and update themselves from what people buy, browse and spend. For a store that wants to message a customer differently after a second purchase, that is a real advantage. Drip says paid plans include free migration, personalized onboarding and up to 50 workflows. If your business runs mostly on a Shopify or WooCommerce store and you want those connections built in, Drip deserves a serious look.
Drip bills by list size. As of October 2026, the Drip pricing page shows plans starting at $39 per month for 1 to 2,500 people, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card required. Higher list sizes cost more, and the site points larger lists to its pricing calculator. Drip says paid plans include unlimited email sends and all features at every tier.
Liberation Campaign is priced on emails sent, not contacts stored. The tiers printed on our Liberation Campaign email marketing platform page are:
Say you have 2,500 contacts and send four emails a month to each. That is 10,000 emails, which is our $10 tier. The Drip plan for that list size starts at $39 per month. Now say you have the same list but run welcome, abandoned cart and win-back flows on top of weekly newsletters. Your send count rises, and so does the tier you need with us. Count your real sends before you decide.
The two prices are not like for like. Drip includes ecommerce tooling and integrations that we have not listed. The point of the example is that a list-based price and a send-based price move in different directions as your business changes.
Every row below comes from the Drip pages linked in the sources, or from the Liberation Campaign page on this site. Where we have not published a detail, the table says so.

A drip campaign is a set of emails that goes out on a schedule or after an action, such as a signup or a purchase. Both platforms support this. Our drip campaign guide explains the idea in plain terms if you are new to it.
Drip lists a visual workflow builder, if/else branching, prebuilt workflows and email templates, and up to 50 workflows on paid plans. Its segments update on their own as customers buy and browse. That gives a store owner fine control over who gets which message.
Liberation Campaign includes a drag-and-drop builder with templates, unlimited campaigns and email lists, and automation flows covering welcome series, abandoned cart and re-engagement sequences. It also has segmentation, an analytics dashboard, contact records with custom fields and tags, and surveys and polls. We do not publish a cap on the number of flows.
For a small business, the practical question is how many different automations you will really run. Most need a welcome series, a follow-up after purchase or inquiry, and a win-back message. Those fit either platform. If you need dozens of branching, behavior-driven workflows tied to store events, Drip is built for that.
This is the area where we do not want to oversell. Drip lists direct integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Stripe. Those connections let purchase and browse data feed your segments without custom work.
Liberation Campaign includes API keys and webhooks, so a developer can send events from a store or app into the platform. We do not list a one-click connector for any specific store on our site. If your business runs on a hosted store and you want product-level data inside your email tool with no development, a Drip alternative may not be the right move yet. Ask us before you assume either way.
Many organizations that look at us are not online stores at all. They are service companies, nonprofits, churches and contractors who email customers, members or donors. For them, store connectors matter less than price, control and support.
Liberation Technology Services states that subscriber data is "never sold, never shared," and it is housed on US-owned infrastructure that we operate. You can export your full list at any time. Our MailerLite alternative comparison goes into the same points, and the policy applies here too.
On deliverability, Liberation Campaign uses dedicated delivery servers so your sending reputation is your own. It also provides SPF record generation and DNS authentication setup, bounce and feedback loop servers for list hygiene, suppression and blacklist management, and one-click unsubscribe.
No platform can make a bad email legal. The FTC CAN-SPAM compliance guide lists the basics: accurate header information, honest subject lines, a clear ad disclosure where relevant, a valid postal address, a visible opt-out, and honoring opt-outs within 10 business days. Penalties can reach $53,088 per violating email. Our platform builds CAN-SPAM compliance into sending workflows, but you still own the content.
A Drip alternative is worth testing in these cases:
Staying with Drip makes more sense if you depend on built-in Shopify or WooCommerce data, want browse and purchase behavior to drive segments automatically, or already have complex workflows running that you would have to rebuild.
Switching email platforms is mostly a data and timing task. A calm approach looks like this.
We offer migration assistance, and support is included. Run both platforms side by side for a short time so no customer misses a welcome or abandoned cart email.
It is an alternative for the core job of sending campaigns and automated flows. Liberation Campaign has an automation builder, segmentation, templates and CRM records. Drip has deeper built-in ecommerce connections, so the fit depends on how much you rely on those.
