Moving off Namecheap means two things: the website (files, database, DNS) and, if you use it, Namecheap Private Email — both move together as part of one free migration handled by a person on our team.
When you move from Namecheap to Liberation, the goal is a Namecheap migration you never have to think about twice: the same pages, the same design, the same functionality, just running on infrastructure you own instead of Namecheap’s shared hosting or EasyWP renewal pricing. A move from Namecheap is handled by a person, not an automated plugin — every page is copied over, tested against the live Namecheap site, and verified before your domain is switched.
Business owners who move from Namecheap often ask how long the migration takes and whether anything will break in the process. In most cases a single-site Namecheap migration wraps up within a few business days of approving the plan, and because your original Namecheap site stays live and untouched throughout, there’s no window where visitors see a broken or half-finished site. If you’re weighing whether to move from Namecheap now, the practical answer is that waiting only risks another renewal cycle at a higher Namecheap price before the migration happens.
Most single-site migrations complete within a few business days of you approving the plan, with a scheduled cutover window so there’s no unexpected downtime.
Your Namecheap site stays live and untouched while we build the copy on Liberation’s servers.
The migrated copy is checked against the live Namecheap site — pages, forms, plugins, email — before anything is pointed at it.
DNS changes happen at a time you choose, and we monitor for propagation issues after the switch.
You keep your domain name and, if you’re moving Namecheap email too, your existing addresses — nothing changes for the people emailing you or visiting your site.
Starting prices, billed monthly. Migration itself is free regardless of which plan you choose.

What the vendor documents for getting your data out, in order.

No — your Namecheap site stays live while we build and test the copy, and the DNS cutover is scheduled and monitored.
No. You can keep your domain registered at Namecheap and simply point it at Liberation’s servers.
EasyWP doesn’t give you cPanel access, so we pull your files and database directly through WordPress and SFTP instead — the process takes the same amount of time, just a different starting point for our team. For reference, Namecheap’s own EasyWP migration documentation describes the same file/database move we handle for you as part of this website migration.
Yes, for a standard site and mailbox migration, regardless of which plan you choose.

Yes. When you move from Namecheap to Liberation, our team handles the entire migration for you — you don’t need any technical experience, and your current site stays live and untouched until the new one is tested and ready to go.

Namecheap is one of the easier registrars to leave, which is exactly why people get caught out. Domains unlock quickly, the authorization code is self-service, and nothing fights you. What breaks is the quiet infrastructure attached to the domain: free email forwarding, the DNS zone, and any redirects configured at the registrar rather than on the site itself.
Email forwarding is the first thing to check. Plenty of small businesses on Namecheap never bought a mailbox at all — they forward info@ and sales@ to a personal Gmail account. There is no mailbox to migrate because there is no mailbox. The moment nameservers change, those forwards stop, and nobody notices until a customer mentions they emailed you last week. Write down every forwarding rule before touching DNS.
Then the zone itself. A Namecheap DNS zone usually carries far more than the website: a verification TXT record for Search Console, an SPF record naming whoever sends your mail, a CNAME pointing a subdomain at a booking tool or help desk. None of that is visible on the website, and those are the records people forget. We export the whole zone rather than just the A and MX records, and rebuild it exactly before cutover instead of discovering gaps after.
If you also had hosting there, the site copy is straightforward — standard panel, standard backup, standard restore. The more useful question is not how to move it but what it should become: the same WordPress install on better hardware, or a Site Builder plan if nobody on your team wants to maintain WordPress again. Those are different quotes with different ongoing costs, and it is worth deciding before the move rather than after.
How we handle it: we document the existing zone and every forwarding rule, stand the site up on our side, test it on a temporary address, lower DNS timings a day ahead, and cut over when you choose. Website Migration is included with hosting, email and Hub plans. If you are not on a plan, or you want a one-off move, it is $250. The domain transfer is separate and optional. Book a call and we will go through the zone with you.
