Move From Brevo To Liberation Campaign

A person sets up your Liberation Campaign account, imports your contact lists and templates, and schedules the cutover around your schedule, not ours.

The short answer

Moving off Brevo means moving your contact lists, campaign templates and automations into Liberation Campaign — both bill by emails sent, but Liberation Campaign is a U.S.-based company under U.S. law, not a French company operating under French terms.

Most account migrations complete within a few business days of you approving the plan, with a scheduled cutover window so there’s no unexpected gap in sending.

What actually happens

We build your account first

Your Brevo account stays live and untouched while we build and configure your new Liberation Campaign account.

We import your lists and templates

Contact lists, segments and tags export from Brevo’s own tools and import into Liberation Campaign; campaign templates are rebuilt to match your existing designs.

We schedule the cutover with you

You pick the day you switch sending over, and we’re online while you send your first campaign.

There’s no dual system to manage during the transition — once your account is ready and you’ve sent a test campaign, your Brevo subscription can be downgraded or canceled on your schedule.

Why people leave Brevo

Move from brevo is the topic of this page, explained in plain terms before you choose a provider.

The most common reasons: Brevo is a French company (Sendinblue SAS) and its general terms are governed by French law, with a separate Delaware entity only for U.S., Canadian and Mexican customers; and its free tier resets daily at 300 emails, with unused sends not carrying over. What moves, what doesn't have to

Contact lists & segments

Contact lists, segments and tags export from Brevo and import into Liberation Campaign, so your targeting carries over.

Campaign templates

Your existing email designs are rebuilt to match in Liberation Campaign’s editor, so your campaigns look the same to subscribers.

Automations & forms

We recreate your sign-up forms and automated sequences so they keep running after the switch.

Priced the way a business buys

Starting prices, billed by emails sent. Migration itself is free regardless of which tier you choose.

What It Costs

Starting prices, billed monthly unless noted. Anything larger gets a written quote.

Step-by-step: export your Brevo data and switch your sending over

Export your Brevo data

  1. In Brevo, export your contacts from Contacts → Manage Contacts → Export, and note any automations or forms you rely on.
  2. Send us the export along with a list of the automations and templates you want rebuilt.
  3. We build your Liberation Campaign account: lists imported, templates recreated, and forms/automations rebuilt to match.
  4. We test with a sample send, then schedule the cutover for a time that works for you.

We test before you send

We send a test campaign through your new Liberation Campaign account and check it against your live Brevo setup before anything real goes out.

We schedule the cutover with you

You pick the day you switch sending over, and we’re online for your first live campaign.

Your old Brevo account stays intact until you’re ready to downgrade or close it out yourself.

Common questions

No. Brevo’s own contact export includes your full list, segments and tags, and we import that directly into Liberation Campaign.
We rebuild your existing automations and sign-up forms in Liberation Campaign before the cutover, so they keep running.
With Liberation Campaign, your data is handled by a U.S. company under U.S. law. Brevo is Sendinblue SAS, based in Paris, with its general terms governed by French law (a separate Delaware entity covers U.S., Canadian and Mexican customers).
Yes — migration is included with any plan switch, no setup fee and no surprise line on the first invoice.

What actually makes leaving Brevo hard

Brevo is two products sharing one account, and that is what makes leaving it more delicate than a straight newsletter migration. There is the marketing side — campaigns, contacts, automations — and there is the transactional side, where your website or application sends password resets, receipts and order confirmations through their relay or API. Those two have very different failure modes.

The transactional sending is the one to be careful with, because nobody complains about a newsletter arriving late and everybody complains about a password reset that never arrives at all. Find every place holding Brevo credentials or an API key: the website, the store, any internal tool, a script a developer wrote two years ago. Each one has to be repointed and tested before the account closes, not after.

Automations are the second item. Multi-step workflows with conditions, waits and branching do not export in any usable form on any platform, so they get documented and rebuilt. Go through them first and ask which actually run — a good share of automation libraries hold more abandoned experiments than live workflows, and the rebuild is usually smaller than it first looks.

If you use Brevo for SMS, treat that as its own project. Sender registration and consent records are specific to the platform and to the carrier requirements behind it, so that is a separate setup with its own lead time rather than something that travels with your contacts.

How we handle it: we export contacts and engagement, inventory every system holding Brevo credentials and repoint them one at a time with testing, document and rebuild the automations that genuinely run, publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domain, and ramp marketing sends over a couple of weeks. Liberation Campaign handles the sending. Book a call and we will start by finding every place an API key is sitting.
