The difference is the billing model. Mailchimp and Constant Contact charge for every contact on your list every month, whether you email them or not. Liberation Campaign charges for emails actually sent. At 15,001–20,000 contacts, Mailchimp Essentials is $230 a month and Standard is $285 — before you send a single campaign. That same 20,000-person list emailed twice a month is 40,000 emails, which is $20 a month here. Your list also runs on infrastructure LiberationTek owns and operates in the United States: subscriber data is never sold, never shared and never used to train anything, and there is no acceptable-use committee deciding whether your message is appropriate. Prices checked September 12, 2026.
“Your email list is the one marketing asset you actually own. Everything else — social followers, ad accounts, search rankings — sits on a platform that can change its terms, its algorithm, or its mind about your account overnight.”
Why we built Liberation Campaign
Contact-based billing charges you every month for every address on the list, whether you send to it or not. A 20,000-person list costs the same in a month you send nothing as in a month you send four campaigns. Liberation Campaign bills by emails sent, so a quiet month is a cheap month.
Grow the list and the invoice grows automatically, regardless of how much you actually use the platform. At 15,001–20,000 contacts Mailchimp Essentials lists at $230 a month and Standard at $285. Liberation Campaign is $20 a month for 40,000 emails and $45 for 100,000 — list size does not enter into it.
Contact pricing still caps how much you can send: Mailchimp allows 10× your contact count on Essentials and 12× on Standard, with overages if you exceed either limit. Constant Contact bills $0.002 per send above its limit. With Liberation Campaign the volume tier you pick is the whole arrangement.
Liberation Campaign runs on infrastructure we own and operate in the United States. Your subscriber data is never sold, never shared and never used to train anything, and there is no acceptable-use committee deciding whether your message is appropriate.
Dedicated delivery servers mean your sending reputation is yours, not a pool shared with strangers. You also get an SPF record generator, bounce and feedback-loop servers that clean the list automatically, inbox monitors, and suppression and blacklist management you can inspect. Most platforms hide this layer entirely.
Liberation Campaign imports from CSV, which every major platform exports. Contacts, custom fields and segments come across whole. Start on the free tier, send your first thousand emails at no cost, and only move everything once you have checked deliverability and how your templates render. Done-for-you migration is available.
The same list, the same campaigns, billed two different ways. Mailchimp prices are for the 15,001–20,000 contact tier at list price, taken from mailchimp.com in September 2026.

Mailchimp, Constant Contact and every other major platform export subscriber lists to CSV, including custom fields and segment membership. Nothing here requires a developer.
Upload the CSV and map your columns. Contacts, custom fields and segments come across intact, and unlimited lists means you do not have to flatten your structure to fit a plan.
Your first 1,000 emails are free. Send a real campaign to a small segment, confirm it lands in the inbox and check that your templates render the way you expect — before you move the rest of the list.
Use the SPF record generator to set up the DNS authentication mailbox providers check, add your sending domain, and start sending. Bounce servers, feedback loops and suppression handling run from then on without you touching them.
Real customer reviews. LiberationTek is rated 4.9 out of 5 on Google and 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot (September 2026).

For most senders, yes — because the saving comes from the billing model rather than a discount. Mailchimp charges by contacts stored: at 15,001–20,000 contacts, Essentials lists at $230 a month and Standard at $285, before you send anything. Liberation Campaign charges by emails sent: that same list emailed twice a month is 40,000 emails, which is $20. Over a year that is $240 against $2,760. The bigger and quieter your list, the wider the gap. Prices checked September 12, 2026.
You pick a monthly volume tier and send up to it. The tiers are 1,000 emails free for your first month, then $10 for 10,000, $20 for 40,000, $45 for 100,000, $100 for 250,000, $200 for 500,000 and $450 for 1,000,000. Multiply your list size by how many campaigns you send in a typical month and pick the tier above that number. How many people sit on the list never enters the calculation.
At the 15,001–20,000 contact tier, Mailchimp lists Essentials at $230 a month and Standard at $285, with a 15% discount advertised on the first twelve months for lists over 10,000. Essentials allows up to 10× your contact count in monthly sends and Standard 12×, and Mailchimp notes that overages apply if you exceed either the contact or the send limit. Constant Contact is also contact-based, with send limits of 10× to 24× contacts depending on plan and overage billing of $0.002 per send.
Yes. Mailchimp, Constant Contact and every other major platform export subscriber lists to CSV, and Liberation Campaign imports them with custom fields and segments intact. We recommend importing and sending one campaign to a small segment before moving everything, so you can confirm deliverability and check your templates. Your first 1,000 emails are free, and done-for-you migration is available if you would rather we handled it.
That is the right question to ask, and it is the part most platforms hide. Liberation Campaign gives you dedicated delivery servers, so your sending reputation is your own rather than a pool shared with other senders. You also get an SPF record generator that walks you through the DNS authentication mailbox providers check, bounce and feedback-loop servers that process failures and complaints automatically, inbox monitors that show what happens to campaigns after they leave, and suppression and blacklist management you can inspect.
Yes. There is an automation flow builder for time-delayed sequences — abandoned cart, post-purchase follow-up, win-back — plus unlimited lists, segmentation, surveys, a drag-and-drop template builder with a professional template library, campaign analytics and performance reports, and API keys and webhooks. Unlimited lists matters more than it sounds under send-based pricing, because there is no incentive to flatten your structure to stay inside a contact tier.
You do. Liberation Campaign runs on infrastructure LiberationTek owns and operates in the United States. Subscriber data is never sold, never shared and never used to train anything, and there is no acceptable-use committee deciding whether your message is appropriate. For nonprofits, advocacy groups and publishers, that combination — your list, your infrastructure, your message — is usually the reason for the move rather than the price.
